Hello Emile Cubs!

My name is Candice Pyles, and I am honored to continue serving as the principal of Emile Elementary. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving students and families in a variety of roles, including elementary and secondary teacher, instructional coach, district curriculum specialist, assistant principal, and now principal. These experiences have strengthened my passion for creating a positive, engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

My husband, Joseph, and I are proud parents of three wonderful children. Our oldest attends Bastrop High School, while our middle and youngest children are proud members of the Emile family.

At Emile, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, growth, and belonging for all students. I look forward to continuing our partnership with families, staff, and the community as we work together to make Emile a place where every Cub can learn, grow, and succeed.
